#8 o-ring leak

The rear part of the engine of a blue Porsche 911 SC

A few years back I installed a sleeve on the outside of the rear crankshaft bearing to stop oil leaking out past the o-ring sealing between the bearing and the case halves. During the end of last season I began to see a lot of oil on the outside of the rear of the engine, so time has come to try and fix it again.

To fix it you need to remove the fan belt pulley and to get to that you need to drop the engine slightly and remove all the stuff in that area. After a few hours work I had the sleeve off the engine and now I need to clean all the old sealant off before refitting it.
